Tenneco Expands Monroe Brake Pad Coverage

Monroe-BrakesTenneco’s Monroe Brakes has expanded its brake pad lines to cover a combined total of 46.5 million additional registered vehicles, the company said.

In 2015, the company introduced 26 Monroe Total Solution and Monroe ProSolution brake pad sets. The company also offers a range of ultra-premium Monroe Severe Solution brake pads for severe duty applications. The Monroe Brakes brand is set to launch an additional 90 brake pad sets next year across all three product lines.

Monroe Total Solution brake pad sets assist repair professionals to complete more high-quality brake repairs in less time by including everything needed for the job (for most applications), Tenneco said. The pads feature ultra-premium ceramic and semi-metallic friction formulations, shim technologies, stainless steel noise reduction hardware, Sensory Locking backing plates, and wire wear sensors, where applicable, according to the company.

Monroe ProSolution brake pads provide premium technologies at a lower price, Tenneco said. These pads feature premium ceramic and semi-metallic friction formulations, which assist with noise reduction, long pad life and stopping performance.

Monroe Severe Solution brake pads help fleets reduce brake maintenance and repair costs through longer pad and rotor life. These pads have ultra-premium friction materials formulated to provide exceptional high-temperature stability, stopping performance, fade resistance and longer service life, Tenneco said.
