Former Pirelli CEO Francesco Gori will serve as Apollo Tyres’ advisor of strategy, the tiremaker announced. As part of Apollo’s management board, Gori will support the company’s goal of international growth and identification of new opportunities.

He is widely acknowledged as the architect of the successful premium strategy of his former company and we look forward to his insight and guidance to sharpen Apollo’s focus and implementation in the brand and technology areas,” said Neeraj Kanwar, vice chairman and managing director of Apollo Tyres. “We also see him as an invaluable resource in developing new opportunities with his deep and wide knowledge of the industry around the world.”
Gori has been part of the tire industry for more than 33 years. He served as CEO of Pirelli from 2006 till he left the company in 2012. Prior to his role as CEO, Gori held various positions at Pirelli.
