SEMA has introduced the SEMA Wheel and Tire Council (WTC) Ride Guide to help sales staff understand how plus sizing will affect the ride and handling of a vehicle.
The WTC Ride Guide is available for select vehicles, such as the 9th generation Ford F-150 and the 2014 Mazda3, and includes technical test data on ride comfort, road grip, steering firmness, directional response and steering speed, SEMA said.
Using the guide, sales staff can select a wheel and tire package that fits a customer’s preference.
“The purpose of these guides is to provide sales staff with the data they need to help a customer make an informed and confident decision on the purchase of their new wheel and tire package,” said Clayton Drescher, WTC senior council manager.
The manuals’ data was provided by the Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research.
