India’s Apollo Tyres is said to be interested in making a 200 million euro investment in a new tire plant in Poland.
According to newspaper Puls Biznesu, citing anonymous sources, Apollo is eying land in southern Poland for the project, which could bring some 800 jobs to that region. The report said that Apollo is looking at locations in Sroda Slaska and Kedzierzyn-Kozle.
Apollo has stated that it is looking at adding a plant in Eastern Europe, but has not been specific as to which country might gain its favor.
According to the newspaper, Apollo plans to apply for government grants and tax credits in one of Poland’s Special Economic Zones.
