TIA is brining a "green" perspective to the proceedings with a late addition to the upcoming Global Tire Expo schedule.
TIA will hold a forum “Making ‘Green’ Work For Tire Dealers” on Wednesday, Nov. 3 from noon to 1 p.m. in Room S231 of the South Hall at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Dick Gust, co-chair of TIA’s Environmental Advisory Council and president of Liberty/Lakin National Tire Recycling, will moderate the panel discussion featuring Larry Brandt, TIA EAC co-chair and CEO, of MSB Tires LLC; Brett Matschke, president of Richlonn’s Tire & Service Centers; Tim Bent, director of environmental affairs for Bridgestone Americas; and Robert Moyer, director of Costco’s tire center operations.
“We felt it was vitally important to continue the positive momentum we started with the recent TIA Environmental Symposium, and the creation of this forum is an excellent way for the thousands of GTE tire dealer attendees to learn how to make becoming eco-friendly an effective and financially viable endeavor,” said Gust.
“Forum attendees will have the opportunity to hear from four tire industry representatives with decades of experience: one from a large, national retailer, one from a tire manufacturer, and two independent tire dealers. In addition, there will also be a question and answer period, so attendees can have the opportunity to ask questions pertaining to their business,” he said.
The 2010 Global Tire Expo, powered by TIA, is being held in conjunction with the SEMA Show, Nov. 1-5 in Las Vegas.
