Organizers for the SEMA and AAPEX shows say attendee registrations are up for the 2010 events, slated for Nov. 2-5 in Las Vegas.
Registrations are up 7% so far, organizers said, a significant increase after the 2009 shows, which saw a slight attendance drag due to the economy. Some 85,000 attendees have already registered, and show officials expect a significant increase just prior to the show.
The Global Tire Expo powered by TIA, which will be based at the SEMA Show, will host more than 240 exhibitors covering all aspects of the tire industry. A large portion of the attendee increase is related to the upgrade tire industry event.
A single registration allows attendees admittance to both shows: AAPEX at the Sands Expo Center, (Nov. 2-4) and the SEMA Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center (Nov. 2-5). The cost of advance online registration is $25, while on-site registration is $75. The $25 advance online registration expires on Oct. 18.
