Oliver Offers New Drive, ULP Trailer Retread

Oliver Rubber Co. has introduced a new drive retread and ultra low profile trailer retread.

Oliver Rubber Co. has introduced a new drive retread and ultra low profile trailer retread.

“For over 100 years, Oliver has proudly produced top-quality, American-made retreads to keep trucks moving with cost-efficient solutions,” said Adam Murphy, vice president of marketing for Michelin Americas Truck Tires. “These new products demonstrate Oliver’s long-standing commitment to fleets seeking the best attributes from their retreads.”

The Oliver Lug Traction Drive (“Orco Ltd”) retread is a lightweight, open-shoulder drive-position retread for regional and urban commercial vehicles.

Replacing the Oliver Super Traction Deep retread, the Orco Ltd is designed for all-weather traction and durability, and it is ideal for school bus pick-up and delivery, as well as food and beverage applications, Oliver said.

The retread includes a tread feature called VDI Plus that resists stone retention, other road debris and helps enforce any pull point schedule. The Orco Ltd is available in five widths: 200, 210, 220, 230 and 240.  All Oliver retreads carry a national warranty to 2/32nd-inch of tread depth.

Oliver is also offering the Oliver Ultra Low Profile (ULP) Trailer retread in a new 375 mm size. Designed for long-haul, wide-base trailer applications, this ULP trailer retread adds an important size to the portfolio of SmartWay-verified retreads in the ULP Trailer lineup, Michelin said. The low rolling-resistance retread for X One trailer tires offers enhanced fuel efficiency and features Oliver’s proprietary compound for great tread wear and low rolling resistance, the company adds.

Oliver Rubber Co. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Michelin North America.
