The $1,000 scholarship recognizes a management-oriented member of the Automotive Service Association (ASA) Mechanical Division. The prize is to be applied toward expenses to attend AMI seminars during the upcoming Congress of Automotive Repair and Service (CARS) in Las Vegas, Nov. 1-3.
An ASA member, Walker has worked in the automotive service industry for three years and is currently working on completing the necessary requirements to earn the Institute’s Accredited Automotive Manager (AAM) designation.
Walker also contributes her time to various community and industry organizations, including the Women’s Board of the Car Council and being an advisor for the AskPatty.com, an automotive advice for Web site for women.
