Epicor Software Corp. introduced automotive repair chain analytics and other highly targeted vehicle service market information tools through the Epicor Vista for the Automotive Aftermarket business intelligence solution, showcased at this week’s Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX, booth #2238).
Epicor Vista for the Automotive Aftermarket enables business owners and managers to make fact-based stocking, service and marketing decisions through the analysis of down-channel transactional data combined with the latest vehicles in operation records and other industry analytics, the company said. The solution has been expanded to include data warehouse services and corresponding market and vehicle maintenance and repair information for automotive service chains, franchise networks and other repair and maintenance businesses.
Among the new Epicor Vista tools are “vehicle market baskets” that enable automotive service writers to identify the most common repair and maintenance requirements for specific applications. By identifying which services are consumed most often on a given model, the service writer can potentially avoid unwanted comebacks and help save the customer money by completing all tasks at one time, Epicor added.
Epicor Vista for the Automotive Aftermarket also includes a new “Installer Insight” applet that summarizes vehicle repair and parts consumption patterns for the business owner or manager. Designed for use on mobile devices, this data visualization technology provides a quick, accurate overview of the latest service trends to help businesses increase sales volume and customer satisfaction.
