Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. announced it is expanding its Roadmaster RM230 line to include new 12R22.5 and 12R24.5 sizes. The new sizes feature a deep 23/32-inch tread for extended tread life, in addition to cut- and chip-resistant compounding designed for mixed service applications including dump trucks, sanitation and logging, the company said.
The RM230 offers a cool-running base compound and four-belt construction to deliver durability and retreadability. Its robust four-rib tread pattern and wide footprint deliver high mileage and good handling, both on the road and in the unpaved areas where these tires are expected to perform, according to Cooper.
“These additional sizes will fill out the RM230 product line, providing our dealers with an expanded offering in their commercial tire lineup,” said Bill Hoban, Cooper’s national truck tire sales manager. “Our focus is on offering the best value proposition for our commercial dealers and their customers.”
