Continental Commercial Vehicles & Aftermarket has promoted Howard Laster to the head of the NAFTA aftermarket.

In his new role with the company, Laster is responsible for overall business strategy, product quality and performance, as well as development of effective sales and marketing activities in North America for the Continental and VDO brand. He is also in charge of the company’s product management team and responsible for guiding the diagnostics and services businesses team.

Laster has worked with Continental for 19 years. He previously worked as director of product management and new business development and was instrumental in helping the company create and launch the VDO REDI-Sensor Multi-application TPMS Sensor, the company said.

Prior to joining Continental, Laster was worked with Blue Chip Products and KSG Safeguard. He also owned First Auto Parts.
