Taylor to Keynote 2012 TIA OTR Conference

Morry Taylor, the always-interesting chairman and CEO of Titan International, will be the keynote speaker for the 2012 TIA OTR Tire Conference.

The OTR Tire Conference will take place at the Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort & Spa in Rancho Mirage, Calif., Feb. 15-18.

Taylor is scheduled to be the keynote presenter during the Feb. 17 session.

Headlining the Feb. 16 session will be Angie Jones of Bridgestone Americas, who will present the 2011 U.S. OTR tire production data and a look at 2012 expectations.

On Feb. 18, motivational speaker and former head football coach at Marshall University Jack Lengyel will speak to those in attendance. Lengyel is best known as the coach who rebuilt the Marshall football team after most of the squad was lost in a tragic plane crash of Nov. 14, 1970.

Registration for the 57th annual OTR Tire Conference are “coming in faster than in previous years, demonstrating that it is the ‘go to’ OTR tire event in the world,” according to TIA president Larry Brandt. “The hotel is almost sold out and we’ve already started a waiting list for golf. We are expecting record attendance for the upcoming conference."
