SEMA Opens Exhibitor Registration, Steps Up Assistance Effort

SEMA has begun its push for exhibitors for the 2010 SEMA Show, and is optimistic the upcoming event will be "one of the most successful" ever.

Exhibitor applications for the Nov. 2-5 show are available online at www.semashow.com.

"We’re optimistic about the 2010 SEMA Show and believe the industry will deliver one of the most successful events yet," said Peter MacGillivray, SEMA vice president of events and communications. “Buyers come to the SEMA Show to do business.

MacGillivray noted that 91% of visitors come to seek new products and 72% hope to meet new vendors.

Exhibitor applications received with deposits by May 7 will be included in the priority space selection process, SEMA said, a three-week process that takes place from June 2-23 that gives exhibitors an opportunity to select their booth locations.

"The space selection process is significant because it’s the first real step leading up to exhibiting at the SEMA Show," said MacGillivray. "More importantly, however, is that it allows us an opportunity to start working with exhibitors to help maximize the return on their investment."

SEMA said it will step up its efforts to assist first-time and veteran exhibitors. "For those who have never participated in the SEMA Show before, it can be a challenge to navigate all the programs and services available," he said. "From setting up a booth and securing badges, to promoting one’s product and connecting with the right buyers, there are programs and ways to make it easier and less costly.

"The exhibitors are what make the SEMA Show the success that it is," MacGillivray said. "That’s why we work closely with them and do whatever we can to help."
