Keegan Replaced by Kramer as Goodyear CEO

In a surprise move, Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. has made Rich Kramer as its new CEO and president.

Bob Keegan, 62, who held the positions of chairman and CEO, will remain as executive chairman of the board.

Kramer, 46, will take the CEO title on Apr. 13.

Kramer, 46, joined Goodyear in 2000 and was named COO in June 2009, even as he was serving as president of Goodyear’s North American Tire unit.

"Rich brings to the table a deep knowledge of Goodyear, our global markets, manufacturing, finance and technology. Our company will be in good hands," Keegan said.

Yokohama Rubber donates to Eastern Taiwan earthquake relief

Through its Yokohama Magokoro Fund, Yokohama Rubber will donate a combined ¥1 million (approx. $6,380).

Yokohama Rubber shared its deepest condolences and sympathies to the families who have lost loved ones and to all those who have been affected by the earthquake in Eastern Taiwan. In response, Yokohama Rubber and its employee-backed Yokohama Magokoro Fund said it will donate a combined ¥1 million (approx. $6,380) through the Japanese Red Cross Society to support relief efforts in the region.
