TIA Takes Next Step in SEMA Show Strategy

The Tire Industry Association (TIA) said it has received all feedback solicited from the major tire manufacturers following the Dec. 17 focus group and are well underway to finalizing a list of recommendations to SEMA officials. A follow-up conference call was held last Thursday to review this information and discuss the next steps.

TIA will now compile the feedback and complete its recommendations, which will then be presented to SEMA officials. TIA anticipates having this phase completed no later than mid-February.

"The call was lively and productive," said Wayne Croswell, president of TIA and moderator of the meeting. “The manufacturers are very forthcoming with recommendations and we are anxious to move this process along."

"TIA is well aware that we must act in a timely fashion if we are to identify and formulate any recommendations to SEMA, and we are well on our way to achieving this," said TIA Executive Vice President Roy Littlefield. "We are pleased that SEMA is open to our input, and we believe this will only help in continuing to make the SEMA show a valuable event to the tire industry."
