CABA Launches New Tool to Help Members Keep Employees

(Akron/Tire Review) The Chesapeake Automotive Business Association (CABA) has created an innovative benefit solution it says will give small automotive and tire business a better tool to attract and retain key employees.

The CABA 5 Point Employee Benefit Health Program features a popular Blue Cross/Blue Shield insurance product surrounded by employer-funded incentives that is both affordable for the small business and beats many zero-deductible health plans offered by larger companies.

"The point of the 5 point program," says CABA President Bob Wilson Sr., "is to give our small business members a simple employee benefit concept that is easy to understand, will work for all their employees and is affordable for them, too."

CABA said its new program is not an association health plan, but is a “checklist of five features built around a standard Blue Cross/Blue Shield insurance policy and is simply a creative investment intended to allow small business to beat big business in the competition for great employees.”

"The most frequent question I get from members is about health insurance", explains Skip Potter, CABA Executive Director. "A member called me last month pleading to help them because they had just lost their best employee to a company who could offer insurance that they could not. The CABA 5 Point Employee Benefit Health Program addresses that."
