TireWare Launches Online POS and Inventory Application

(Akron/Tire Review) TireWare Inc., a supplier of business management software for tire and automotive service centers, has unveiled a subscription-based, online point-of-sale and inventory software application.

The company said the new product offering creates “a significant shift in the way dealers have traditionally acquired and managed their software by allowing them to access TireWare as a pay-as-you-go, Web-based solution, ushering into the tire and automotive industry a new concept of ‘software as a service.’”

According to the company, TireWare is accessed through a standard Web browser, enabling dealers to reduce many expenses and complexities associated with traditional POS software. “Unlike conventional POS software, TireWare has no downloads, no software to install or uninstall, no updates, no upgrades, and no maintenance fees,” the company said.

The online POS solution is available for a monthly subscription free per inventory locations. The first 299 retail locations will be offered a subscription fee of $299 per month per location, TireWare said.

“The industry has been ready for a fresh and new economical approach to software that helps dealers focus directly on building their businesses,” said Tully Ryan, CEO and president of TireWare. “TireWare’s advantage exploits the differences between traditional software and our Web-based solution by lower pricing; ease of startup; ongoing customer support and maintenance; no update costs; our breadth of our POS features and benefits; and lastly, our focus on individual users.”
