2007 CITExpo Bigger Than Ever

(Staffordshire, U.K./Tyres & Accessories) Tyre industry watchers should be well aware of the increasing importance China is taking on the world stage.

The world’s largest market for the production and consumption of tyres has attracted the attention both of local players and global giants wishing to grab a share of fast growing domestic and export sales.

The proliferation of tyre and related product suppliers can make finding those offering the best quality and value a difficult job, and the China International Tire Expo (CITExpo) are firm believers in the importance of their exhibition as a place where domestic and international buyers, tyre manufacturers, and carmakers can seek new OEM and trade partners, a fact CITExpo add has also been well acknowledged by these companies – both domestic and international – themselves. Last year’s CITExpo attracted 220 exhibitors to its 10,000 square metres of exhibition space, and over three days 6,800 visitors attended.

The success of last year’s CITExpo has ensured its return to Shanghai in 2007, and this time the exhibition will be held at the Shanghai Everbright Convention and Exhibition Center between Sept. 12 and 14. The organisers of CITExpo, Reliable International Exhibition Services, report that even more visitors than last year are already on board – as of July there were 230 sign-ups – and o accommodate this larger retinue they have expanded the exhibition’s total floor space. Two adjacent halls at the exhibition centre will be occupied during this year’s show.

Returning for 2007 is Germany’s Automotive Testing Expo, which will be held concurrently with CITExpo. The simultaneous staging of two shows, the organiser points out, last year proved to be a major drawcard for those involved in the automotive parts industry, and this year the two combined events will take up 30,000 square metres of floor space and be home to 500 exhibitors.

Online pre-registration for CITExpo can be organised at www.citepxo.com.cn , and Reliable International Exhibition Services states that those opting for this form of pre-registration will obtain free admission to the exhibition, express registration, a copy of the show catalogue and a limited edition souvenir. Further information can be obtained from the website or by e-mail at [email protected] or phone on +86(0)10-8589-8181.
