Sumitomo Rubber North America will increase prices in the US, Canada and Puerto Rico on Falken Brand medium truck tires and implement inline adjustments on a per size basis. The price increase will be effective December 1.
Falken says several factors have driven the need for this price increase including increased costs in both transportation and labor, raw materials in addition to other market factors.
In October., the company also increased prices in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico on Dunlop brand motorcycle tires. The price increase of up to 15% went into effect on Oct. 15. The company said the price hike was driven by a dramatic increase in costs.
