Erin Edminister, 26,  Marketing Manager for BKT USA Inc. Akron, Ohio

Erin Edminister tells herself every day that she can do better, and after two years of quickly climbing the ladder at BKT USA Inc., it’s apparent she’s done just that.

“Success isn’t solely defined by the outcome,” Edminister says. “To me, success is taking everything that comes your way head-on and giving it everything you have. If you can look at the finished product and be truly proud of your accomplishment, you have succeeded.”

Coming from the ad agency world, Edminister joined the tire industry as a marketing coordinator for BKT USA in 2015. Today she is the tiremaker’s marketing manager, coordinating all the marketing activities in the U.S. market. She also was a major player behind BKT USA’s move to focus promotions on the end-users.

In her short career, Edminister has found the tire industry keeps her on her toes and offers great learning opportunities. She continues to sharpen her skills while working on her inbound marketing certification through HubSpot. She also has her sights set on a master’s degree.

“Not a day goes by where you aren’t learning something new. Changing buying habits and technologies require a change in techniques across all layers of business, from engineering to sales to marketing. I love a challenge and you can count on being presented with them in the tire industry,” Edminister says.

Fun Fact: A future green thumb, Edminister has been trying her hand at gardening. You’ll also find her binge watching the television show “Chopped.”
