Brian Corbly spent nearly 18 years working as a technician at Carrol Auto & Tire, working for two different generations of owners. When his boss, Harold Carroll, took time off, Corbly would be left in charge. So, when Harold died in an accident while on vacation, Corbly continued to run the dealership. It was only after tragedy struck that Corbly stepped into the role of owner.
“I had ran the shop for him anytime he was gone, so I continued to run it until my wife, Jen, and I bought the business,” he explains.
“As far as confidence [to succeed], I got that from the trust my former boss placed in me to run the business when he was away.”
Corbly purchased the tire dealership on Jan. 1, 2017, and has since renamed the location to Corbly Auto & Tire. In addition to tires and service, the business also offers customers a gas station.
“I can’t imagine doing anything other than what I’m doing. I feel that the Lord has guided me to where I am today and He has blessed me,” Corbly says.
Fun Fact: If Corbly could have any superpower it would be X-ray vision so he could see a problem in a car without tearing it apart.
