Omni Acquires Texas-Based Distributor

Omni United has purchased Texas-based distributor A to Z Tire & Battery Inc. atozLogo

“We are excited about this acquisition as it takes the distribution business in our core market to the next level. Acquisitions like these gives us an opportunity to work with other manufacturers and collectively design the next generation of technology for distribution. With the tools that are available today, there is tremendous efficiency that can be brought into the distribution business,” said GS Sareen, founder and CEO of Omni United.

A to Z Tire was founded in 1926 as Amarillo Bus Co. A to Z Tire has since grown to 21 locations throughout Montana, California, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas.

This acquisition is the next step to scaling up the multi-brand distribution business of Omni United in the U.S., the company said. With the addition of A to Z Tire, Omni United’s footprint totals more than 29 warehouses to serve a network of more than 10,000 dealers.

“We want to provide efficiency and benefits of synergies that we gain with acquisitions like this to both our retail customers and to the manufacturers. Our passion and drive is to bring in efficiency to tire distribution and to service as many retail outlets as we can. We will continue to plot our own distribution in areas where we currently don’t have distribution arrangements,” Sareen said.

This is the second acquisition Omni has made in the U.S. In October 2015, the company acquired Interstate Tire Distributor.
