Atturo Partners with Charity to Collect Infant Care Items

TORC_AtturoAtturo Tire Corp. will partner with the charity Twice As Nice Mother & Child to raise money for infant care essentials such as diapers during the TORC: The Off Road Championships (“The Chicagoland Slam”) in Chicago.

According to a report from the White House in March 2016, 1 in 3 families in America struggles to afford diapers. Low income families can spend up to $900 on diapers for one child annually and federal programs like SNAP or WIC don’t help pay for diapers.

During the “Race to Meet The Need” event, Atturo Pro Light class racers Andrew Carlson and Travis Dinsmore will collect donations of diapers, children’s clothing and money. Dinsmore will also feature the TANMC logo to his race vehicle. Additionally, Atturo will accept monetary donations at their vendor booth during the race and for every $10 donation, the donor will get a free Atturo t-shirt.

“Our ‘Race to Meet the Need’ campaign this weekend is a small part of the overall support we give to Twice as Nice Mother & Child,” said Michael Mathis, Atturo president. “We are proud to support and participate in their efforts every year to close the diaper gap and meet the needs of children. Please drop by our booth and donate to the cause of keeping babies healthy.”

Those wanting to donate can also make a donation on the TANMC website and can email their donation receipt of at least $10 to [email protected] for a free t-shirt.
