Michelin’s BFGoodrich tire brand has announced the winners of the 2015 Outstanding Trails program, which also celebrates its 10th anniversary.
This year, BFGoodrich will award winners Barrett Lake Trail of El Dorado National Forest in California, Applegate-Lassen Wagon Trail in Nevada , Bald Mountain OHV Trails in California and Black Bear Pass in Silverton, Colo.
Michelin’s BFGoodrich team will attend club events for each trail throughout the year to educate off-road enthusiasts on responsible trail use and present each winner with a $4,000 grant for trail access preservation.
The BFGoodrich brand collaborated with Four Wheel Parts, United Four Wheel Drive Associations, Blue Ribbon Coalition and Off Road Business Association to nominate and choose the winning trails based on uniqueness, terrain type and enthusiast following.
The program has awarded grants to 36 off-road trails and more than $140,000 in grants during its 10 years.
