Yokohama Tire Corp. is all set to display two new mining tires, the Y20 and Y67, at the Bluefield Coal Show on Sept. 11 13.
“The Bluefield Coal Show is held every two years and is the top regional show for underground mining in the country,” said Tim Easter, YTC director, OTR sales. “It’s perfect locale to highlight our new mining tires to the coal industry.”
Yokohama’s new Y20 39x15x20, a 36-ply heavy-duty, is ideal for scoops and coal haulers that need a heavy weight carrying capacity, according to the tiremaker. The tire was also developed to take large shuttle cars into lower levels, enabling access to deep coal seams.
The 36-ply Y67 44x15x20 was designed for large shuttle cars. It provides a greater carrying capacity without having to change rims, and its wide footprint delivers an improved ride and longer tire life, the tiremaker said.
