Recently, VIP Tires & Service hosted its annual managers conference. Managers from all 56 locations discussed business issues, received training from suppliers and managers recognized for sales growth.
“We were very excited to hold these meetings. Bringing all of our talented leaders together reminds us what a great team we have,” said Tim Winkeler, VIP’s chief operating officer. “Events like this are not only an opportunity to sharpen our leadership skills, but also bring us closer together as a team.”
The company’s annual meetings reflect VIP’s commitment to continuing education and investment in the skills of its people, the company said. Each manger spent a full day of training learning how to further develop the skills and knowledge of their teams.
Additionally, these sessions helped VIP’s managers keep a focus on the company vision after a year of change, the company noted. In 2012, all the stores underwent a complete remodeling following the sale of CIP’s parts division.
