TRIB Offers ‘Spot the Retreads’ Giveaways at MATS

The Tire Retread & Repair Information Bureau (TRIB) is renewing its “Spot The Retreads” competition at this week’s Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Ky.

Visitors to the TRIB booth (#13036) can enter the contest and try to correctly identify a range of new and retreaded tires. Participants who correctly identify all the tires will be entered into daily drawings for sets of eight commercial truck tires to be retreaded on the participant’s own casings. With seven sets of retreaded tires to be won, the total value of the tires to be given away during the show is more than $10,000.

“Investing in retreaded tires always makes sense given the massive economic and environmental benefits they offer,” said David Stevens, TRIB managing director. “But in an environment where raw material prices for tires continue to increase, retreaded tires make even more sense, whether you are an owner-operator with one truck or a fleet with hundreds. Along with our member companies participating in the contest, we feel we’ve come up with a great way to demonstrate the quality of the retreaded tires as well as provide very valuable prizes to attendees of the show.”

Providing retreading services for the winners are TRIB members AcuTread Alliance Group, Bridgestone Bandag Tire Solutions, Continental Tire the Americas, Goodyear Retreads, Marangoni Tread North America, Michelin Retread Technologies, and Oliver Rubber Co.
