Trelleborg Wheel Systems is relocating its North American Headquarters and distribution center. The move from Hartville, Ohio, to Fairlawn, Ohio, allows space for further expansion, greater warehouse capacity and more efficient logistics, the company said.
“This was a difficult decision after 80 years in our Hartville location,” said Ydo
Doornbos, managing director of Trelleborg Wheel Systems Americas Inc. “Our company is continuing to grow and we need a location that is convenient to our valued customers and employees. The relocation of the distribution center will allow us to inventory additional products and better serve our dealers. The close proximity of the new offices and warehouse to our previous location means that all our valued employees will have the opportunity of moving with us.”
Trelleborg’s distribution center will move to a separate facility in nearby Akron. The company cited easier access to the highway, improved logistics and greater capacity to house inventory as the reason for the warehouse move. The relocation is expected to be finished in early 2011.
