Toyo Refreshes, Expands Use of Eco Mark

The manufacturer has now announced an update of this eco mark logo and its intention to adopt it for global use. The new logo features a stylised green leaf containing a centrally placed “E” for ‘eco’

The new eco mark will be adopted on fuel-efficient tyres, and the Toyo ‘Eco Walker’, soon to be launched in the Japanese market, will be the first product to include the logo. Its use will spread to all applicable Toyo passenger car, light commercial and commercial vehicle tyres.

Toyo Europe has informed Tyres & Accessories that the first European release to feature this icon will be the new Proxes NE, due for release next spring. This range, available in 14- to 18-inch sizes, will be manufactured from what Toyo calls “special environmentally friendly materials.” Toyo reports that it aims to switch to the exclusive production of eco-friendly products by around 2015. GRI's tailored training sessions equipped participants with tools for informed decision-making, ultimately fostering greater financial security and independence, the company said.
