Melbourne, Fla.-based Gatto’s Tires & Auto Service is celebrating its 40th anniversary.
Founded in 1971 by Mike Gatto, the 2007 winner of Tire Review’s Top Shop Award has seven locations along Florida’s “Space Coast.” The business is run by Pam Gatto, Mike’s daughter, with an assist from sons Scott and Mike McHenry and son-ion-law Mike “Kiwi” Nevin.
“We have a lot of good people who work for us,” Pam Gatto, president, told the local media about the anniversary. “And they often tell me that they love working with us because they can be honest and straightforward and do the right thing when they take care of the customer.
“Dad always told me, ‘We don’t sell tires and auto service. We sell safety and peace of mind.’”
In celebrating the anniversary, Gatto’s is having some special 1970s-themed promotions, including free oil changes for anyone driving a 1971 model year car, and $19.71 coupons for customers wearing 1970s-era clothing.
