TIA added two new dates for its 2013 Automotive Tire Service (ATS) Instructor Tour.
Firmed up were a May 7-10 stop in Boston, and July 9-11 sessions in Seattle.
The four-day, hands-on training classes will educate tire retailers on the proper safety procedures and guidelines for servicing passenger and light truck tire and wheel assemblies.
"We are still working on finalizing the dates for the remaining cities, but will continue to release them as they become available so people have plenty of time to make plans to attend," said Kevin Rohlwing, TIA senior vice president of training. "Our goal is to have all of the dates confirmed by the end of the second quarter, but some of the schools are not able to commit to specific weeks until after the regular class schedules have been confirmed. Since the hands-on component is so important, we have to make sure there will be lab space available during the class."
Previously confirmed dates for the tour include March 5-8 in Ghent, W. Va., March 19-22 in Phoenix, March 26-29 in Charlotte, and Nov. 12-15 in Jacksonville, Fla.
The TIA Training Tour also will make stops in Toledo, Ohio, Los Angeles, Rochester, N.Y., Pittsburgh, Milwaukee, Tampa, Oklahoma City, Minneapolis, Minnesotaand Houston.
