Tire Group International has hired Bill Hirst as the new vice president of program sales for its domestic division.
Hirst, who has been in the tire industry for more than 33 years, has experience in the passenger, light truck, truck, industrial, agricultural and OTR tire segments. He most recently served as executive vice president of sales at TBC Corp. Prior to that position, Hirst was vice president of sales and marketing for Treadways Corp.
“Our commitment to focus our strategies to grow individual markets continues to be a priority,” said Willie Kramer, TGI’s vice president of domestic sales. “Domestic sales have grown significantly over the past six years and Bill’s addition to the team will help continue to build our private brands and expand our markets.”
TGI carries over 40 brands of tires, in addition to distributing its own private labels Astro, Cosmo, Industar, Luna and Orion.
