Tire Group International is certainly busy, adding a pair of distribution deals to its growing portfolio.
On July 26, the Miami-based distributor announced an agreement with Alliance Tire Group to distribute Galaxy brand OTR, agricultural and industrial tires in Latin America and the Caribbean, with exception of Colombia and Ecuador.
That same day, TGI revealed a new two-year deal to distribute Cooper Tire & Rubber Co.’s Mastercraft brand consumer tires throughout Central America and the Caribbean. The deal includes TGI serving as a “fill-in distributor” for the Cooper brand in the Caribbean.
As part of the agreement, which runs through December 2014, TGI will also provide marketing and sales support for Mastercraft in the form of product promotions and dealer training.
"We are excited to bring TGI’s expertise and reach to the Mastercraft distribution network in these important markets," said Phil Caris, Cooper vice president of sales. "This new distribution agreement is a natural extension of our existing relationship with TGI.”
Manny Cicero, president of Alliance Tire Group, commented, "We are truly excited about this venture with TGI. It is the type of company we look to partner with. It has a solid reputation for building brands in Latin America through a dedicated dealer network and excellent customer service. We have no doubt that our Galaxy brand will be well represented in Latin America.”
