Snap-on Releases Compact Engine Starter

Snap-on announced the release of its new Snap-on EEJP200M Lithium Ion Compact Engine Starter lithium ion compact engine starter. According to David Brekke, Snap-on product manager, the device is designed to be powerful, yet handy, ideas for personal use when a jump is needed, yet powerful enough for busy shops.

“The EEJP200M goes to work where needed and its on-screen commands guide the user through operation,” says Brekke. “A smart safety component is the bright LED work light that also functions as a first responder SOS flash. When installed with an optional OBDII cable, the EEJP200M also becomes a memory saver. The unit provides 12 volts of power to a vehicle that enables techs to save radio settings, seat positions, keyless entry codes and DTC’s when the vehicle battery is disconnected during service.”

According to the company, the EEJP200M can be used on a wide range of power sport, motorcycle and four- to eight-cylinder vehicles. It can start vehicles in below freezing conditions, as well as in intense heat settings (ranging -5–130 degrees F). It also has a two-amp USB port that operates as a power source to charge cell phones, tablets and other devices and can be charged with an AC wall cable or DC cable from a vehicle, both included.
