According to the latest report from Reifen 2010 organizer Messe Essen GmbH, more than 500 exhibitors have now confirmed their participation at the upcoming 2010 trade show.
Firms from more than 40 nations will thus present their tire-related products and services when the doors open at the exhibition in Essen, Germany, open on June 1. This year’s show, the 26th to be held, includes the Innovation Award, which honors pioneering new developments within the industry.
Messe Essen and Germany’s Federal Tyre Trade and the Vulcanisers’ Skilled Trade Association will present the prize to pioneering new developments in the three categories: Services and Marketing Ideas, Concepts and Processes, as well as Technology and Products.
Exhibitors have until Mar. 31 to submit applications in order to be considered.
A jury will assess the products according to a number of criteria: innovative content, user benefits, economic viability, safety, sustainability, environmental compatibility (in the Technology and Products category), potential for winning over and binding customers (in the Services and Marketing Ideas category) and optimization potential for the value added chain (in the Concepts and Processes category).
Prizes will be awarded during the show’s opening press conference on June 1. All contributions submitted for the Innovation Award will be on displayed during the exhibition week. (Tyres & Accessories)
