Omni United has followed up on its flagship brand Radar’s Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) partnership with a plan to launch a limited-edition, pink-walled tire in the U.S., U.K. and other top markets.
Currently, Radar donates $0.25 for every Radar tire sold to the foundation, with a committed minimum annual donation to BCRF of $250,000.
The brand’s first product specifically designed to support this campaign will be a limited edition RPX 900 passenger radial, which features an asymmetrical tread design for mid- to high-performance vehicles. The limited edition will have the novelty of a pink sidewall, highlighting the emblematic pink color of the fight against breast cancer cause globally.
The tire will have a retail price in the range of $70-$110 and is expected to be available starting in the last quarter of 2011 at leading tire retailers carrying the Radar brand in the U.S.
“This is a more visible way to support our Mobilizing Hope campaign to benefit the activities of BCRF,” said G.S. Sareen, president and CEO of Omni United, parent company of Radar. “We are delighted to be able to develop this limited edition of one of our best selling tires, the RPX900, to reinforce our commitment to supporting breast cancer research.” (Tyres & Accessories)
