Hunter Engineering said its new WinAlign HD alignment system allows trucking fleet operators and commercial tire dealers to perform truck and trailer alignments without unhooking the trailer from the tractor, maximizing workflow and reducing setup time.
“The option to align trailers with or without the tractor simplifies the alignment schedule for heavy-duty fleets, and increases overall fleet productivity,” Hunter said. WinAlign HD allows technicians to perform trailer alignments using a simple kingpin adaptor.
The unit’s DSP700T heavy-duty sensors reduce setup time by using Hunter’s roll-forward compensation to compensate all six sensors at once without the need to jack each axle, the company claimed. The six heavy-duty sensors communicate with the WinAlign HD system to “capture and produce live, simultaneous measurements on three axles in just four minutes.”
