New PCL Brand Image Reflects Global Growth - Tire Review Magazine

New PCL Brand Image Reflects Global Growth

(Staffordshire, U.K./Tyres & Accessories) Pneumatics Components Ltd. (PCL) is undergoing a brand makeover to reflect the company’s recent development and strategy for the future.

The past five years have seen numerous changes for the company as PCL has strengthened its strong global position in tyre inflation equipment and services and established itself as a leading provider of pneumatic products, a position achieved through the development of a range of new products, including the company’s electronic tyre inflation ranges and its air tool and air treatment ranges. The ever-more comprehensive PCL product portfolio has been backed up by the expansion of international businesses, with the company opening offices in Malaysia, the U.S. and India, plus the revamping of global distribution and support services.

The company’s new logo, packaging and website will be integrated into the business over the coming months. PCL are confident that the new look, with its new clean, corporate design, will mirror PCL’s reputation as a professional, innovative and dynamic company with a sound manufacturing base, and reflect the company’s continuing investment as the tyre inflation and pneumatics expert. The PCL corporate brand will be utilised on all pneumatics and tyre inflation products in all markets.

An aim of the new branding is to reflect PCL’s forward-thinking policy for supplying innovative products to the international market whilst underlining the company’s reputation as a traditional and approachable company that maintains its own UK manufacturing base at its Sheffield headquarters. Ian McCreadie, PCL managing director, said: “Our ‘Made in Sheffield’ products are well-established in the U.K. and are a familiar sight in garage forecourts, tyre shops and engineering workshops, and we are very proud to maintain our roots here.

“However, as PCL has developed geographically with PCL-Sumo in India, PCL North America and PCL Asia, we needed a branding consistent with new and emerging markets, new products and technologies, and with our strategy for the future, rather than reflecting the past. Therefore we are introducing a consistent global image by transforming the PCL branding into one which can represent PCL’s world expertise, the leading position we have achieved, and our ambition to continue to beat customer expectations.

“These changes reflect the latest developments to take us to the next level in providing first-class, reliable and cost effective products for tyre inflation and pneumatics, with localised service whatever your location.” McCreadie concluded by saying “Wherever our customers are, our new image will drive home the message that PCL is always the first choice for tyre inflation and pneumatics.”
