Maxxis Signs Premiership Advertising Deals

Maxxis has signed lucrative advertising deals with Everton FC and Tottenham Hotspur FC, who finished fifth and eleventh respectively in last season’s Premier League.

The announcement comes in addition to Maxxis renewal of support for Aston Villa FC, where it will continue with perimeter advertising at the Villa Park ground and VIP corporate hospitality package.

For the 2008/09 season Maxxis LED banner advertisements will also be located at Goodison Park and White Hart Lane, in prime positions on three sides of the pitch opposite the TV cameras. Maxxis representatives told Tyres & Accessories the company is changing its advertising to make a “big impact: when the first Premier League matches kick off on Aug. 16.

“This improved brand exposure will reach the millions of fans who watch top flight football on TV as well as the loyal supporters who will pack the three stadiums for each game,” says Maxxis International UK managing director Derek McMartin. “Last season, whenever Villa played, we benefited from some excellent brand promotion. During the 2008/09 season Maxxis will be seen every week in the live games broadcast by Sky and Setanta and on the BBC’s Match of the Day highlights programmes.”

“These sponsorship deals with three of the Premier League’s best supported clubs mirror our global corporate marketing strategy and will help us promote the extensive range of tyres we sell in many U.K. market sectors,” explained McMartin, adding: “We offer everything from car, 4×4 and van to bus and truck tyres, while our two-wheel range includes everything from motocross to Supersport and mountain biking to road racing.” (Tyres & Accessories/Staffordshire, U.K.)
