Kentucky Dealer Puts Charity Effort in Motion

Lexington, Ky.-based S&S Tire has created a unique way to give back to five local and national charities.

The tire dealer has launched "Caps 4 a Cause," a new line of pre-packaged TPMS-friendly universal valve stem caps that support five causes.

Available only at the 13 retail S&S Tire and Auto Service Centers, the caps come in five colors, each matching a charity. They sell for $5 each, and $2.50 of that goes directly to the named charity.

Pink colored caps support the Susan G. Komen for the Cure in Lexington; royal blue caps help the Kentucky Children’s Hospital at the University of Kentucky; light blue caps assist the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation; red caps support the Central Kentucky Chapter of the American Heart Association; and yellow caps help the Wounded Warrior Project.

"S&S Tire is thrilled to help various causes that are important to us and our customers through this one of a kind product," said Rick Paynter, retail director of S&S Tire. "’Caps  4 a Cause’ not only financially supports various charities, it also offers our customers an unique way to raise awareness daily as they drive down the road with their colored caps on their  tires. It is amazing to take something so small and impact so many. It is literally charity in motion.”"
