The association will make $1,000 gifts to deserving organizations in the name of NJSTDA members, and will help garner local media coverage of the donations.
The first charity receiving a NJSTDA-supported donation was the Children’s Society of Trenton, N.J., which assists families with adoptions and child care. The donation was made on behalf of Ruch Tire of Ewing, N.J.
The second donation was to St. John’s Church Feed the Hungry Program in Newark, courtesy of Livingston Tire in Livingston, N.J.
The third was St. Mark’s Church’s Good Samaritan Center in Atlantic County, N.J., made on behalf of Kowalski Tire of Mays Landing, N.J.
NJSTDA executive director Al Breeze said the group intends to donate between $5,000 and $10,000 each year to such charitable groups. (Tire Review/Akron)
