The new APX80 features optional upgrades to handle large diameter, run-flat and low-profile tires, and intuitive, operator-friendly controls to minimize a tire technician’s learning curve.
Hennessy said the APX80 also features a clamping capacity of 9 to 30 inches external and 11 to 32 inches internal; intuitive controls at the point of actuation to allow one operator to work safely regardless of tire size/difficulty; three position bead loosening shoes; Hennessy’s RoboArm that applies direct pressure for extra leverage on run-flat or low-profile tires; and duckhead and horizontal rollers to help with mount/dismount.
“With the APX80, we have created a machine that helps shops handle the most popular assemblies as well as tough, high-performance tires and wheels,” said Andrew Vecci, Hennessy’s group marketing manager for tire service solutions. “If you require a workhorse tire changer, but still need to handle the larger tires that come through your door, this is the ideal step-up machine.”
