Hankook to Show New European Made Tyres at IAA

(Staffordshire, U.K./Tyres & Accessories) Hankook Tire will showcase its first European-made tyres, low rolling resistance tyres at this year’s 62nd IAA Car Show.

Hankook will be showing its newest UHP tire, which will be launched in Europe next year.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to obtain information about the eco-friendly Hankook Optimo K715 from the recently started European production in Hungary. It has already been tested by the independent German consumer-protection organisation Stiftung Warentest (March 2007), with the overall ranking “good”. According to Stiftung Warentest, the Optimo K715 contains also the lowest amount of harmful ingredients of all 29 tested tyre makes.

“With our complete tyre-line-up we not only cover a wide spectrum of cars, we also provide excellent products in each category,” explains Seung-Do Jin, Hankook Tire’s COO for Europe. He adds: “From the highly eco-friendly Optimo K715, the popular top all-season tyre Centum H720 and our run-flat and winter tyre-range to the high-end S1 evo, all our tyres are already of superior quality. They have been tested and awarded top grades in independent tests by many renowned automotive magazines. Our new plant in Hungary underlines that we’re constantly striving towards offering premium products for premium markets like Europe.”
