Griffin Brothers Hits the Big 5-0 in a Big Way

Celebrating its 50th anniversary, Cornelius, N.C.-based Griffin Brothers Tires, Wheels & Auto Repair recently opened two new stores.

Its eighth location, opened in August, is located in northeast Charlotte. In September, the company opened its ninth location, an exclusive store at the Wells Fargo CIC Campus in Charlotte.

Griffin Brothers’ Highland Creek location features an improved layout and design with individual kiosks where service advisors can assist customers. The waiting room has a “Kids’ Corner” play area, an Internet workstation for customers to use their laptops and a complimentary refreshment area with an eight-head soda fountain, a popcorn machine and a fresh coffee station.

The building includes a second floor conference/meeting facility for monthly employee meetings and training classes.

The Wells Fargo location is unique in that it is only open to on-campus Wells Fargo employees. Approximately 10,000 employees work at the 150-acre campus.

“2011 marked a year filled with many new and exciting events, including our 50th anniversary and the opening of our eighth and ninth tire stores,” said vice president Larry Griffin Jr. “First and foremost we would like to thank all our loyal customers and employees. We continue to serve the Charlotte area with honest and affordable tire and automotive services while always striving to provide customers with a positive experience at a value.”

In addition to the two new locations, the company also has facilities in Cornelius, Charlotte, Mooresville, Lincolnton, Pineville, Shelby and Concord. The dealer is a 2009 Tire Review Top Shop Finalist.
