Steve McClellan, Goodyear vice president of commercial tire systems, said the company is moving “more of its process controls online, and a new, more-relevant Web site is an obvious addition.”
The site features a dealer locator; allows users to find tires by application, wheel position or size; fleet management tools; information about Goodyear’s emergency roadside assistance program; information about software and Web-based tools to help track tire costs, tire performance and retreading; and tire technology updates.
“Besides providing premium tires with superior casings, we’ve sought
to be a resource of knowledge for our customers. We want to help them
better manage their tires and the associated costs,” McClellan said.
The new site also provides information on fuel economy, safety tips, load information, service manuals, warranties, publications and product brochures. (Tire Review/Akron)
