Freedom Tire Distributing has hired nearly 30-year industry veteran Jeff Scott to lead the distributor’s expansion in San Diego County.

“Jeff brings a unique perspective to the job; he has worked distribution, but has also been a successful owner of a retail tire dealership. We feel this gives Jeff a great understanding of what our customers go through on a daily basis. This understanding will help grow our footprint in San Diego,” said Tom Hofmann, president and CEO of Freedom Tire.

The expansion into San Diego County is Phase 3 of Freedom Tire’s three-year expansion plan. The distributor now offers metro areas of Southern California twice a day deliveries, including Saturdays, Freedom Tire said.

Two years ago the distributor moved to a larger warehouse that doubled its capacity in order to help accommodate the increase in sales. Freedom Tire also expanded service from Southern California’s Inland Empire and Orange County, into Los Angeles County last year.

Freedom Tire said they hope to open an additional warehouses within the next two years.
