Falken Teams Up With Monster Tajima For Pikes Peak Hill Climb

(Akron/Tire Review) Falken Tire Corp., along with Suzuki Motorsports, will sponsor Monster Tajima as he returns to Pikes Peak on July 1 to compete in the 84th running of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb.

Legendary driver Tajima piloted the Monster Sports Suzuki Escudo at Pikes Peak in 2001. Considered a mechanical marvel, Tajima’s record-breaking Suzuki became immortalized in the popular racing video game series, Gran Turismo.

This year, he will drive a 940-hp, V6 Twin Turbo Suzuki Grand Vitara equipped with Falken tires.

“With nearly 1,000 horsepower to the ground, Falken Tire is eager to demonstrate the superiority of our products even in the most extreme environments,” says Nick Fousekis, Falken’s brand manager.
