Double Celebration for New First Stop Dealership

(Clacton, U.K./Tyres & Accessories) York-based Moss Tyres is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a move to Bridgestone’s First Stop network of independent tyre dealerships.

Managing director Richard Stow believes joining First Stop will enable his team to build on a successful base and continue upholding values of honesty, hard work and professionalism for many more years to come.

“Joining the First Stop network gives Moss Tyres the support of a huge organisation like Bridgestone whilst ensuring we lose none of our identity as an established and trustworthy independent family business,” said Richard, who has run the depot with wife Hilary, daughters Kelly and Nicola, sons Simon and Mark and sons-in-law Jason and Richard for the past seven years.

Moss Tyres has four further outlets in Wetherby, Hull, Driffield and Pickering, two of which are truck specialists. The Wetherby branch is also be registered to First Stop.

Don Anobile, Bridgestone UK business development manager, commented: “Moss Tyres is a professionally-run business that has stood the test of time over the last half century, and will add further strength in depth to the First Stop network. Richard and his team are steeped in tyre knowledge and expertise. We’re thrilled to have them on board.”
