Cooper Tire & Rubber Co.’s Tupelo, Miss., tire plant logged one million man-hours without a lost-time incident.

The company said this is the second time the plant reached that mark; in September 2010, the plant also passed the one-million-man-hour level.

“Tupelo continues to demonstrate its serious commitment to safety by reaching this mark," said John Bodart, Cooper tire manufacturing vice president. "To put this achievement in perspective, most manufacturers would be proud to report just one such milestone during the entire lifetime of a plant."
