As part of the deal, BFNAT will offer Bridgestone brand-sponsored Formula D drivers “one of the highest guaranteed contingency purses in the series,” the company said.
BFNAT was a sponsor of the series last year, and Bridgestone-shod drivers posted five podium finishes.
“Formula D continues to raise the bar as the pinnacle drift series in the U.S.,” said Phil Pacsi, BFNAt’s vice president of North American consumer tire marketing.
Seven Formula D events are scheduled for 2007 series, including: Long Beach, Calif.; Atlanta; Summit Point, W. Va.; Monroe, Wash.; Sonoma, Calif.; Wall, N.J.; and Irwindale, Calif.
